Check List : FWUO

Here is a simple check list for Bandai's Mobile Suit Gundam Ultimate Operation series. These figures were produced by Fusion Works and sculpted by Volks Inc. who later went on to continue with the STANDart and Converge series. The figures are commonly referred to as Ultimate Operation or simply FWUO. The figures come on J-cards sandwiched between two blisters and tied down to the bottom one using several plastic wires. Production ran between 2003 and 2007 and is now discontinued.

The Ultimate Operation figures are characterized by being non-scale and semi-articulated. Sizewise they are around 8 cm tall and virtually identical in size with the STANDart and Assault Kingdom product lines and thus display excellently together (for convenience you could say they are roughly 1/220 scale). FWUO figures tend to have dynamic poses where the lower torso and legs are a single sculpted piece with the upper torso, head, arms (often multi-part) and wrists typically rotate on pegs. Pegs are normally very stiff on new figures but then rapidly loosen if moved around a lot.
